About Our Team

An Important Update from CRM!

Effective July 1st, 2011, CRM Business Advisors has merged with an accounting and financial advisory firm with whom we have partnered for many years: Belmores of Yarrawonga.  The combined entity is a perfect blending of skills, strengths and personnel and as a result will be able to serve your personal and business financial needs more comprehensively than before. 

Belmores is well known in the region for the specialist business and financial services it has provided to its loyal client base over the past 34 years.  In addition to the tax, accounting and bookkeeping services that CRM already provides, Belmores offers proven expertise in business consulting and improvement, business valuation, superannuation, financial planning and wealth management, estate planning, succession planning and home and business lending. The merger will strengthen the position of both businesses in our greater region, and the combined practice will be driven by the philosophy of ‘Local business helping local people.’

 

Although our name will change slightly to reflect the new partnership – we will now be called Belmores CRM – our clients will continue to be served by the same accountant and client manager, the level of service received will remain at a high standard, and the offerings that will be available will only increase in number. 

We are all excited about this new development in our business, but if there is anything that concerns you about the merger, please do not hesitate to contact Peter, Leesa, Lindy or myself.  Mary, Raj, Nadia and Jenny will also still be here to answer any of your queries.  Otherwise, we will be in contact again shortly as part of our ongoing relationship with you and will provide you a more personalised introduction to our broader services where appropriate.  We look forward to continuing to serve you in the future.

The team at CRM Business Advisors has been serving the local communities of the Alpine Shire and Wangaratta for over 30 years.  In this time we have developed a strong level of expertise in most local industries and continue to seek out ways of improving the services we provide to our clients.

Greg has been an active and respected public accountant within the community for over 30 years. Qualified with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Melbourne University, Greg has also obtained his post graduate Diploma in Taxation from Monash University.  Greg is a member of CPA Australia and has spent a term as Chairman of the Goulburn and Northeast branch of the CPA society.

Greg specializes in accounting for small business and has always maintained a strong involvement in the local community and sporting organizations. Currently Greg is the Chairman of the Ovens and Murray Football and Netball League. And as a direct result of his more than 30 years within the accounting profession, Greg’s clients benefit from his dedication to accounting best practice and unfettered access to a diverse, national association of respected business advisors.

Peter is a professional accountant who spent 14 years at Westpac Bank, 5 of which were spent as Branch Manager for a variety of large and small communities across Victoria.  In 1996 Peter decided to leave the banking industry and has been an integral member of the CRM family ever since. Peter is qualified with a Bachelor of Business in Accounting Finance obtained from Charles Sturt University.

On the personal side, Peter has hand-built the environmentally-friendly strawbale home in which he resides. Peter’s home incorporates passive solar principals which include a northerly orientation, appropriate width eaves, double glazing, solar hot water and he is currently looking into grid-connected solar power generation.
Peter’s other interests include camping, 4WD trips, bushwalking, squash and Aussie Rules Football.

Leesa began her career as a bookkeeper for Mt. Beauty Timbers before joining CRM 9 years ago as a professional accountant.  Leesa holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Charles Sturt University.  She is a fully-qualified CPA and also holds her Public Practice Certificate. 

Leesa’s main focus of work is in the preparation of financial statements, BAS filings and tax returns for a variety of business industries and individuals. Her other area of specialization includes body corporate management in both the commercial and residential sectors, including large entities within the Mt. Hotham and Falls Creek resorts.  Additionally, Leesa handles a variety of audit work for superannuation funds and both incorporated and private associations.

Outside of work, Leesa is passionate about golf and she plays the tuba in the Mt. Beauty & District Community Band.
